1. Trouble Hearing in Noisy Places


If you find it hard to understand people when there’s background noise—like in a restaurant or busy room—that could be an early sign your hearing is changing.


2. Asking People to Repeat Themselves


Do you often say, “What?” or “Can you say that again?” If so, it might mean your ears aren’t catching everything like they used to.


3. Turning Up the Volume


If you keep turning the TV, radio, or phone volume louder than others think is normal, it could be because you’re not hearing as well.


4. Ringing or Buzzing in Your Ears


Hearing a ringing, buzzing, or humming sound in your ears—even when it’s quiet around you—is called tinnitus. It’s often linked to hearing loss.


5. Feeling Tired After Talking or Listening
